A Victorian gold, enamel, opal and diamond brooch, mid 19th century, of circular outline, the domed centre set with a cabochon opal surrounded by rose-cut diamonds, within a six-rayed star motif in blue enamel, to a border of rope twist and knotted design, approximately 3cm diameter
Condition: large chip and loss to enamel. Reverse likely once had a glass compartment which is now lost. Solder to reverse around pin and pendant fittings. Pin base metal. Gross weight approximately 10 grams.
