A Victorian coromandel travelling writing box, brass mounted with porcelain Sevres style plaques, the hinged lid opening to reveal a fitted interior and fold-out writing slope with Berry's Patent inkwells, ivory ruler and stationery space, with hinged side handles, 14in.

Tarnishing to the brass mounts, wear to gilding and minor areas of the porcelain plaques. Minor fading, mainly to top, right hand hinge is missing its screws. Minor shrinkage splits in places, one mount has a dented, mishapen border , 2 of the 3 porcelain writing panels are damaged and cracked. Overall average condition, but nice quality.
