A Victorian burr walnut and marquetry cabinet on bookshelf, by Wilkinson & Son, with moulded cornice, fitted with an arched glazed panelled door flanked by two similar panels and with panels to the sides flanked by foliate capped columns, with open shelves below flanked by panelled carved stiles, on plinth base, stamped 'Wilkinson & Son, 8 Old Bond Street, 5135', W.3ft 6in.

There is a chip loss to the rear right side of the cornice, there are two small splits to the veneer each side of the top of the bookcase base, the purple velvet on the interior of the cabinet is worn, the shelves are probably recovered in purple velvet, there is a little bit of boxwood line inlay lifted on the left hand side of the bookcase section, wear to the bookshelves consistent with age and use. Some slight chip losses to the veneer around the plinth feet otherwise in fair to good condition for its age, looks like the original finish and not been repolished.
