Lot 357 , A Turkish pottery silver topped rosewater sprinkler, later 19th / early 20th century, 25cm

A Turkish pottery silver topped rosewater sprinkler, later 19th / early 20th century, 25cm

A Turkish pottery silver topped rosewater sprinkler, later 19th / early 20th century, the pear shaped body painted with oval reserves of flowers in green, red slip and blue on a crackled ground, the domed top embossed and chased with leaves, 25cm
Estimate £200-300

There is a crackle to the glaze all over and there is some slight losses to the glaze around the foot, some old paint around the foot which we have scraped off with my thumbnail and no evidence of damage, the silver top may or may not be original for this piece because there is some filler joining the gap between the collar and top of the vase which has been painted black so this may be a later addition, otherwise good condition.
