A Roman green chalcedony intaglio in a later gold ring mount, carved with the figure of a gentleman, size C.

Intaglio is 15mm by 6mm. There is a large deep chip to the back which has just crept into being visible from the front as there is a tiny gap by the setting. Therer are numerous tiny little surface scratches to the top along with a couple of nicks also.
