A Roberson & Co oak studio easel, with twin cranked telescopic height adjustment and ivory label giving 99 Longacre, London address, W.2ft 4.5in. H.8ft 10in.

Used by several generations of artists, this easel looks to be complete but well loved, the cross bar and lower structure is of a rubbed mid to light brownish tone with remnants of black paint, the upper structure all with a reddish brown near mahogany tone, all metalwork is oxidised and the original crank handles are now missing, some worming to the right side of the trestle foot.
