On the front of the lid there is some ivory inlay missing right across the front of the lid, there is a crack to the right side panel right at the base near the ball feet, the right side and back panels are a little faded as is the top in places, the velvet lining on the interior of the lid has a few stains and the two lids for the compartments there is some damage to the tortoiseshell around the perimeter particularly on the left lid and there is also some slight damage to the perimeter of the right lid and also towards the centre, some of the zinc lining in the compartments is now missing and both lids are a little warped. One of the ball feet may have been replaced. Overall condition is otherwise generally good.
