A Regency mahogany cellarette, of oval form, with starburst fluted top, fluted baluster pilasters and brass castors, W.2ft 4in. D.1ft 8in. H.2ft
Estimate £500-700

The lid has a thin crack running from the right hand side in towards the middle approx 10 inches long but really only notable in the 3 inches nearest the rim, hinge is not fully recessed and may be a later addition or just repositioned, interior has a later fitting done in the 20th century to take bottles, glasses and cocktail accessories, lock looks later, main body has a horizontal crack running straight up the back and the front of the body has a finer vertical crack running top to bottom to the right of the escutcheon, there are also a number of other old vertical cracks running through the body, notably two to the right hand side either side of the lion handle but not any to left hand side, these cracks are quite hard to spot other than the one at the back, other than these cracks there are a few dents and chips to the ring turning and moulding, colour is a good rich even mid mahogany brown, castors look original, overall a handsome piece of furniture in fair order.
