A Ralph Wood type creamware Toby jug of standard type, c.1790, glaze losses and some retouching to the enamels

A Ralph Wood type creamware Toby jug of standard type, c.1790, seated in standard pose holding an ale jug, with a pipe beside his right leg, together with a stopper for the hat, 25cm high, glaze losses and some retouching to the enamels
£300-500

Condition:
There are some glaze losses and some retouching to the black enamel on the hat, inside and out and there are some losses to the dark brown glaze on his feet, otherwise in good condition. The stopper for the hat is a decent match but is not original as there is evidence of some previous retouching to the black enamel to make it match the rest of the hat.
