A Mennecy Kakiemon style porcelain handled knife, c.1740-60, painted with a Chinese figure amid flowers and rockwork, unmarked steel blade, 25cm

Slight wear to the gilding. Typical minor glaze imperfections, the capped rivet at the end of the handle is slightly flattened and split and the steel blade has been heavily scoured and scratched where it was probably rusty.
