A Meissen mythological group of the drunken figure of Silenus on a donkey, accompanied by Bacchus, 19th century, after the model by Friedrich Elias Meyer, the figure of a maiden seated on the ground in front and the figure of a cherub playing with the donkeys tail, on a scrollwork base, underglaze blue crossed swords mark and incised model no. 2724, height 21cm, slight restorations and losses

Losses to the fruiting vines on the two figures heads, the cherubs right hand, the donkeys right ear, some of the leaves and fruit in the basket below, restorations to: the donkeys tail and hind quarters, the donkeys left ear and head, some of the leaves and grapes on the standing figures head, the right leg and foot of the seated maiden. A few tiny splinter chips to the front edge of the plinth.
