A Meissen figure of a nodding chinaman, 19th century, with weighted nodding head, moving tongue and hands, blue crossed swords mark and incised model number 156, 17.5cm high, right hand restored

Condition:
The right hand of the figure has been restored. There is minor wear to the gilding around the collar of the figure. The head removes from the body and has a weight attached to it. The rod for the weight is attached by two fastenings to each side of the neck. The right hand fixing has a splinter chip and another reglued splinter chip next to it. The edge of the extended neck which sits also has another small splint per chip on the leading edge. When the head is in position these thoughts are not visible. Otherwise in good condition with no cracks detected.
