A Louis XVI tulipwood combined writing and games table, the reversible rectangular top with brown leather skiver and ivory and ebony chessboard, opening to display a stained ivory and ebony interior for Tric Trac over a drawer, on square cabriole legs, W.2ft 8in.

Ebonised and ivory chess table top with some spotting and old cracking to the ivory panels, further fine old hairline cracking within the ebony, opposite side has a tooled and gilt leather skiver with some light surface scuffing, interior has backgammon inlay with fine cracking running through the ebony and fading to the green stained ivory pointers. Overall body of the table with some old fine splitting to the veneers, fading notably to both ends, end drawers with one key and operating locks containing five 2 inch diameter ivory draughtsman and 19 ebonised along with some later ebonised and boxwood draughstmen and a later ebonised and stained wood chess set, mechanical brass clips that hold the top in place are both working, overall some fading to the timbers otherwise in good honest condition.
