The back rail of this chair has broken away from the frame, most notably towards the right hand side where one can see the dowels where it formerly joined the main body, this has been partly due to old worming and some of the wood is now chewed away and there are worm holes running throughout the upper part of the frame, there are a few other worms holes scattered throughout but the notable worming is where the damage has occured, upholstery requires replacement, main state of the frame is in good solid condition, one or small nicks and dents to the carving, colour slightly faded but still retaining fair strength.
