Lid of box has chip to one corner, two corners of the main box have lost castellations. Interior velvet looks original, red label to the base.
Unstained - king with Jaques London stamp to underside, queen small chipping around crown, one bishop has lost finial, one knight with crown stamp, one castle with crown stamp, one pawn with chip to collar ring. Red stained - some wear to staining throughout, king with minute nicks around the tops and a fine split to the underside. Queen patch of loss staining where it meets the foot, knights - one stamped with crown and is noticeably larger than its companion. Castles - one stamped with crown
