A Japanese togidashi lacquer three case inro, signed Koma Koryu Saku and kakihan, 19th century, decorated to one side with a table screen depicting pine trees at sunset on a kinji bright gold ground, the reverse engraved with chinkin-bori decoration of two actors, the interior with nashiji decoration, 7.7cm, together with a coral ojime and a gilt lacquered ivory manju netsuke, decorated with a turtle, five character signature, losses to decoration on netsuke

There is the occasional fine hairline crack to the kinji bright gold ground, there are a few minute nicks to the edges of the joins of each case of the inro and the first case beneath the cover has either restoration or a different colour patch of gilt to the nashiji ground on the inner cover to the section below, one of the fine hairline cracks at the very bottom of the case extends across to the base side with the signature, there is also the odd very tiny flake to the edge of some of the inner sleeves of the cases and tiny bit of wear to the corners of the gilt lacquer, otherwise the inro is generally in a reasonable condition, the colours bright. The manju netsuke has losses to the gilt lacquered decoration of the turtles head,legs and parts of the shell and there is some age cracks to the ivory on the back of the netsuke.
