A Japanese lacquer 'Zushi' (portable shrine), 19th century, housing a parcel gilt hardwood figure of Bishamonten, the interior of the doors to the portable shrine painted with the four heavenly kings, total height 20.5cm, losses to figure

Side panels have split away from the top panel on each side and the base panel on one side with some losses to the lacquer around the area, there are a pair of doors to each side and there is some wear to the gilding on the interior of the doors and the stand on which the figure is positioned, the figure of Bishamonten has lost his left hand and the end of his left foot, otherwise in reasonable condition.
