A Japanese ivory netsuke of two quails, 19th century, each seated upon millet, engraved five character mark to base, 3.8cm

There is general grubbiness in areas of the carving and some slight wear to high points of the carving otherwise basically in good condition with no restoration chips or cracks. The eyes are inlaid in brown horn which is difficult to see except with a loupe due to dirt around the area.
