A Japanese gilt patinated bronze model of a rat with a nut, late 19th century, the eyes and nut with copper patina, cast three character seal mark, length 18cm

The nut is present but has become detached and there are two pin holes to the front paws and to the nut where it would have been attached, there is slight casting imperfection and repair in manufacture to the top of head of the rat by its right ear, wear to the base consistent with age, otherwise in good condition.
