The vase has some wear to the gilding on the top rim and there is a hairline crack extending in an arc from one side to the other which can be felt with a thumb nail across the shoulder, the pentafoil shaped box and cover is deliberately designed as a slightly asymmetric shaped so the cover only fits properly in one direction, some minor staining to the biscuit areas otherwise in good condition.
