A George V silver plated canteen of Hanovarian pattern cutlery for twelve, retailed by Boodle & Dunthorne, Liverpool, comprising one hundred and five items, in a three drawer satinwood banded walnut canteen on bracket feet.

The knives are ivory handled. One dessert knife handle has been replaced. The knife sharpner handle may also be replaced. There are no engraved crests or monograms. Generally the suite is in pretty good condition, however ther is some evidence of wear to the fork tines and a few of the spoons have visible scratches to their bowls, so there are are signs of general use.
The canteen consists of 12 table knives, 12 table forks, 6 serving spoons, 12 teaspoons, 5-piece carving set, 12 dessert knives ( one replacement knife, not matching), 12 dessert forks, 6 egg spoons, pair of sugar tongs, 12 soup spoons, 12 dessert spoons , a soup ladle, basting spoon and pair of sauce ladles.
