A George Jones majolica Humming Bird and Stephanotis pattern circular jardiniere, late 19th century, relief moulded with the birds in flight on a cobalt blue ground, turquoise glazed interior, black inscribed marks 3302/80 to an unglazed patch, 17.5cm

2mm x 2mm shallow chip to the glaze on the tip of one petal, a 1mm x 2mm shallow chip to the edge of the hummingbird's right wing, as well as a small firing imperfection at the point where the birds wings intersect.
Other occasional minor firing imperfections and minor scratching to the glaze, light crazing to the yellow and brown glaze and also to the inside base of the jardiniere, the inside of the jardiniere shows typical use related wear and scratching, particularly along the inside rim.
