A George IV gold, black enamel, oval cut foil backed garnet and split pearl cluster set mourning ring, the underside of the ring head inscribed 'Granville Hasting Wheeler Esq, died 3rd Feb, 1827, aged 46', size M/N, gross 7.1 grams.

Most of the pearls have some minor surface blemishes. No visible damage to the garnet. Some damage to the black enamel, in the form of small chips, scratches or minor loss. Inscription clear. No gold or maker's marks.
