A George III silver tankard by William & James Priest, of tapering cylindrical form, with domed cover, scroll thumbpiece and engraved initials to handle, London, 1766, hinge pin missing, height 18.5cm, 21.5oz.

Lid- Detaches from the base as there is no hing pin. The dome of the lid has a slightly planished finish and there is a small ding also. Probable old repair where the thumbpiece joins the lid on one side (silver solder). A few small dings/dents to the lid rim. Hallmarks clear.
The tankard main body has severals bumps and dings in general. No sign of any erasure or engraving. The handle has a small ding. The foot rim has a couple of dents and there appears to be a dent to the centre of the base. Hallmarks clear but with some mild rubbing to the maker's mark.
