A George III mahogany metamorphic stool / library steps, with brass studded upholstered seat opening to form red leather inset triple steps, on turned and fluted legs, fitted brass castors, when open W.3ft 2in. D.1ft 8in. H.2ft 7in.

Old nicks/chips around the top rim, some corner damage also, including one old repair. Old damage and repair top the interior panel underneath the leather seat. Split to front panel by handle.
Opened- Some moulding missing to left side along with a piece of veneer. Right side has some veneer repairs and a hairline split to the wood. Overall fair condition, conducive with age and use.
