A George III inlaid mahogany serpentine chest, of four graduated long drawers, on swept bracket feet, W.3ft 3in. D.1ft 9in. H.2ft 10in.

Some restoration in recent years. top looks to have been repolished and now has rich, reddish tone. Signs of light surface scratching from use and signs of further old, short splits running in from the sides but look to be stable. Golden satinwood banding to top, looks repolished. Front of a plain, mid brown tone, slightly faded at the top with full colour at the bottom. Handles possibly original and they fit the original holes. Brass locks fitted but no key present. Left side a little faded and now a lighter brown. Right side is mid brown with 2 short, old splits runing through the timbers. Feet a little scuffed. Overall fair to good condition.
