A George III gold and inset oval portrait miniature ring, painted with the bust of a gentleman to sinister, with glazed cover, size I/J, gross 3.6 grams.
Estimate £300-400

Glazed cover very scratched. Wear to the setting in places. Possible old repair to one side of the shank where it joins the ring head. Painter unknown. Would suggest date between 1770-1790. Probably made for a lady's hand due to finger size. We believe it to be painted on ivory.
