Condition:
Overall of a rich slightly dark patination, with some minor dents, scratches and knocks throughout, back of the lid has been broken at some point and then re-attached, a section of the marquetry is retained inside but other smaller sections are missing, partial damage to the escutcheon, lock looks original but no key present, internally divided into two with remnants of old foil.
