Lot 1164 , A George III Scottish silver pap boat, 68 grams.

A George III Scottish silver pap boat, 68 grams.

A George III Scottish silver pap boat, with later engraved decoration and initials, George McHattie, Edinburgh, 1809, 4.25in, 68 grams.
Estimate £150-200

The groove which travels around the boat just below the rim is a little tired/worn in places. There is a solder line on the side just behind the front lip which appears to have been an old repair but there is an identical line on the other side so it may be part of construction?? Overall condition is otherwise good. Hallmarks on base a little rubbed.
