Estimate £2,000-3,000

Although catalogued as George III this look to be an Edwardian bed in the George III style, the frame is of very good solid construction with no wobble, the front columns show old dents and knocks commensurate with age particularly lower down, the framework is unusually low being approximately 7 inches off the floor, this is then capped by a thin 4 inch divan and a specialist mattress would be required to go on top of this if the intention was that it fit between the central columns, headboard is in good usable condition, hangings are a little faded all round with some fox spotting, the back columns are plain squared timber and are more recent than Edwardian, overall this bed should be viewed as George III style bed but it does have good presence and in good usable condition.
