Estimate £300-500

This piece has been restored and repolished probably 2 or 3 times in its lifetime, the stand is later, probably 1930's, incorporating the upper part of the original carcass but now on later cabriole legs, the top was almost certainly not finished originally but now has a later veneering, some of the veneer is lifting at the top front top corner, sides are walnut veneer, drawer fronts have later stringing applied probably during the Edwardian era, drawer linings are all in oak, handles are later, locks look original and this comes with two keys, some of the moulding running around the top edge of the base is coming a little loose, matching moulding to both sides is later replacement, colour is a good rich walnut tone, overall and is typical with this pieces this is not a fully original piece however it is of good decorative effect in good condition and keenly estimated.
