A George II provincial silver mug by John Elston Junior, of baluster form, with engraved initials and s-scroll handle, Exeter, 1738, height 10.3cm, 6 oz.

Minor surface scratches in general. The silver gauge has slight give to one side, possible removal/erasure? Base of handle has been pushed inwards into the body, very visible from inside. There are two small bumps/dents to the body of the mug. Engraved initials to top of body and engraved cross? to lower part. Engraved initials and date to top of handle. Large amount of silver solder visible to underside of the base, possible repair?? Hallmarks on base clear.
