A George I walnut bureau, W.2ft 11in. D.1ft 8in. H.3ft 4in.

A George I walnut bureau, the fall enclosing pigeon holes, drawers and central cupboard over four graduated long drawers, on bracket feet, W.2ft 11in. D.1ft 8in. H.3ft 4in.
Estimate £400-600

Looks to have had the colour enhanced 10 years ago or more and now the colour is rather patchy, a number of small circular patches to the veneer across the top, the fall shows undulation through the veneers, the interior missing one short drawer otherwise fairly worn with small patches of veneer to the central door, sides rather faded with old splitting, panels and escutcheons look original, no key present, some small sections of veneer missing from around the drawers along with old repairs, drawers running poorly and this will require some attention, feet scuffed commensurate with age.
