A George I figured walnut bureau, the fall enclosing an arrangement of pigeon-holes and short drawers over a well, above two short and two graduated long drawers, on bracket feet, 96cm wide, 52cm deep, 101cm high

Condition:
Overall of a warm ginger brown tone, numerous small dents, scuffs and minor splits commensurate with age and use, a few small sections of moulding missing from around the fall, lock looks original but no key present, interior good, left hand drawer fitted with an old brass inkwell and pounce pot, drawers all fitted with later handles and escutcheons, locks look original but no key present, a later ivorine retailers label for Spillman & Co St Martins Lane, London inside the left short drawer, old splits in the timbers down both sides, feet worn and rubbed, overall an honest piece in need of some restoration.
