A French Parisienne Humber 'Special' Road Racer bicycle circa 1896 having all its original equipment including pedal toe clips and a chain stamped Perry's Humber, also bearing retailer's plaques for René Briet, one dated 1904. Thought to have been made as a special order. In 1896 the Humber Company had works in Beeston (Notts), Wolverhampton, Coventry, Westborough (Mass.USA), Moscow and Portugal. They also had a large depot at $ Rue de Quatre Septembre, Paris.
