A Cromwellian lobster tail helmet,

A Cromwellian lobster tail helmet, with radiating flutes, sliding nasal bar, front peak, four section riveted tail

The helmet has some light active red rust on the surface, the peak has a series of vacant holes on it presumably for rivets which are not reciprocated on the inside of the rim of the crown, the nose bar looks a little heavy presumably a replacement, there are vacant holes inside of the helmet presumably once supporting the ear flaps which are now flapping, the interior of the helmet still retains some leather rivetted to the interior to the edge, the interior especially around the rear of the neck guard and to the peak are heavily pitted.
