A Coalport thirty six piece Imari pattern dessert service, c.1810-15, each piece painted to the centre with flowering shrubs and rockwork within brocade and floral panelled borders, sprigs to the underside, including a pair of sauce tureens, covers and stands, ten various dessert dishes and twenty dessert plates, unmarked, plates 21.5cm diameter

All items have some slight wear to the gilding and occasional scratching or scuffing to the enamels and glaze, there are three shell shaped dishes, one of the dishes has a firing crack to the side and underside of the handle, a second dish has slightly more wear to the gilding in the centre, there are four square dishes - one has a section of the corner broken and reglued with evidence of old rivet repairs which have been removed underneath and these have some occasional speckling to the glaze, there are two lozenge shaped dessert dishes, one has a crack to the rim extending nearly to the foot and the other has some heavier wear to the gilding and some discolouration to the green enamels, the pair of sauce tureens, covers and stands both have some splinter chipping to the underside of the shell shaped handles of the tureens and one cover has two splinter chips to the very edge, both have some slight staining to the interior and one slightly to the exterior, the stands appear to be in good condition, some of the plates have some heavy crazing to the glaze which is generally only visible underneath, one plate has a large splinter chip to the edge, a second plate has a curved crack to the edge of the foot and some heavy staining and crazing to the glaze both sides, third plate has some heavy staining and crazing to the centre, a few of the plates have some heavy fritting to the glaze only visible on the underside, a fourth plate has some stained star cracks to the centre and a fifth plate has a firing crack to the foot not visible from above. The large footed centrepiece bowl of lozenge form has some wear to the green enamels and gilding to the centre and some heavy black speckling around the foot.
