A Chinese white jade cylindrical bead, 18th / 19th century, finely carved in low relief with a scrolling chi-dragon, the stone of excellent even tone, 2.2cm

Provenance: Collected by the vendor's grandmother in Hong Kong or on her travels in mainland China before 1950.
Two minute nicks to the cylindrical edge above the carved scroll, each approx 1mm and very shallow and there is another smaller 0.5 mm nick on the bottom edge of the bead, otherwise in good condition.
