A Chinese white, grey and russet jade figure of Zhou Yanzi, Ming dynasty, the crouching figure holding a milk pail and wearing a large deer skin over his head and back,

Provenance- from the collection of the vendor’s late father who collected Chinese works of art in Hong Kong from 1950 to the 1970s. He lived in Shanghai from 1947-48 and became a successful businessman living and working in Hong Kong from 1949 until his death in 1994. 8.5cm high, Filled hole to figure, wood stand

Condition:
There is a filled hole to the robe on the left of the figure which is visible on the reverse side below the left antler of the deer skin. Natural inclusions and veining to the stone, otherwise in good condition.
