A Chinese soapstone figure of Shouxing, 18th century, the standing figure holding a branch, his clothing with remnants of polychrome decoration and engraved with the character shou, ruyi clouds and waves, 26.5cm high, small losses

Condition:
The figure has a splinter chip loss to his headdress, the end of the branch in his right hand trails behind his head and this section once joined up with the ribbon trailing down the side of his head to his left shoulder but is now lacking. Small over coloured splinter chip to his left foot and some chip losses to the tips of his robes on each side. Typical natural inclusions and veining into the stone.
