A Chinese russet chalcedony watch-shaped snuff bottle, 19th century, well hollowed, with stepped circles to each face and concave stepped elipses to each side, the shoulder carved in low relief with a bat, the stone of even tone with a reddish vein and occasional speckles, 5.2cm

Stone has a terracotta brown inclusion to one side with the vein running down by one of the concave stepped elipses which is slightly open in places although it does not go all the way, there are a few tiny nicks to some of the raised edges of the elipses to each side and around the circles to each face, otherwise good condition.
