A Chinese pale creamy white jade ‘egret and lotus’ plaque, Yuan-Ming dynasty, carved in high relief and openwork with two egrets amid lotus leaves flowers and tendrils, the stone of a translucent creamy white tone, 7cm wide, inset into a Qing dynasty hongmu rectangular box and cover, 11.4cm wide

Condition:
The translucent creamy white stone with a few brown inclusions to the underside, but in good condition with no restoration chips or cracks detected, the box has been re-glued at the corners at some stage and there are a few age splits to the timber, otherwise in good condition.
