A Chinese pale celadon jade reticulated ‘butterfly’ and ‘boy riding a qilin’ double plaque wedding pendant, 19th century, the boy riding a qilin plaque, 8cm wide, linked to the butterfly plaque, 7.5cm wide with ‘endless knot’ cord, stone of good even tone
Provenance- owned by the same family since the 1930s.

Condition:
The cord is grubby and has deteriorated and the pieces have separated. All of the jade plaques have natural inclusions and veining to the stone, but are in good condition with no chips or cracks detected.
