A Chinese pale celadon jade oval openwork plaque, 19th century, probably taken from a ruyi sceptre, carved and pierced with bats and butterflies amid bitter melons, the stone with russet and white inclusions, 9.8 cm x 8.2 cm

Natural inclusions and veining to the stone. The carver has made an extra cut to the edge which appears as an open a tiny open crack on the edge section, otherwise In good condition with no chips or restoration.
