A Chinese pale celadon jade flask-form vase and cover, Qianlong/Jiaqing period, c.1780-1820, the flattened baluster-shaped body carved with a pair of elephant head handles, on an elliptical foot, the domed cover with open-work dragon chasing a flaming pearl, the carver cleverly using a russet inclusion in the stone for the pearl, total height 19.5cm high vase and cover (not stand )17cm approx, glued to wood stand

Condition:
The vase is in good condition with no apparent chips or cracks although the foot has been glued to the wood stand so we are unable to examine the very edge, the cover has a small splinter chip to the underside edge into the key work order, otherwise typical inclusions and binding to the stone.
