A Chinese pale celadon and russet jade plaque, Jin - Yuan dynasty, carved in high relief and pierced with the figure of a small hawk above a flying goose amid tendrils, the carver using the russet inclusion in the stone for a lotus flower, 8.4cm, slight faults

There is a crack and a chip to the back of the plaque on the top edge and there are a few losses to the tendrils visible on the underside, there is a loss to the hawk at the top of the plaque and to the tendrils beneath the left wing of the goose, natural inclusions to the stone.
