A Chinese incised and burnished pottery cocoon jar, Western Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 8), the burnished surface decorated with ten bands of triple-incised lines that surround the body vertically as well as raised horizontal bands around its neck and base, 24.5cm high, length of body 26.5cm

Condition:
There is some surface wear and various "nibbles" to the vulnerable edges of the mouth and foot. The only repair is a chip at the rim edge that has been filled.
