A Chinese hornbill pendant, 19th century finely carved in high relief and openwork with gourds, flowers, butterflies and leaves, the carver skillfully incorporating the darker orange layer of the material to the design on the underside, 7.5cm

There are a few tiny splinter chips to the edges of the buds and leaves at the top and to a tendril, there are some fine age cracks to the pendant otherwise in good condition.
