A Chinese hongmu or huanghuali jade mounted cover, 18th/19th century the inset pale celadon jade star shaped plaque carved and pierced with two boys holding a vase, 4.9cm across, the sides of the cover carved in relief with bats biting a peach branch, 6cm high, 7.3cm diameter

Condition:
The Jade Clarke appears to be in good condition, but has been fixed in place to the cover so we are unable to examine the back of the carving. The wood cover has a few occasional fine age cracks to the timber, otherwise in good condition.
