A Chinese hongmu model of a vase and a Chinese boxwood 'dragon handle, 18th century, the vase carved in high relief with a stylised scrolling phoenix and the neck with leaf lappets, hollow incomplete base, 25.5cm high, the handle carved in high relief with a dragon chasing a flaming pearl amid clouds, 26.5cm long

The vase has some age cracks to the timber and a few small chip losses to the carving and appears to be missing a foot but may have been mounted on something originally. The handle has an open age cracks and is worn with use.
